About Us

Our Story – Where hobbies, habits, and heart meet.

We’re The Paper Dolphin

— a stationery studio that believes paper isn’t just meant to be used. It’s meant to be felt.

Small beginnings. Big feelings. Stationery with Soul.

We started small — with one rescued stack of paper and one curious architecture student (that’s Urusha) wandering the streets of Parrys, Chennai. What began as a humble attempt to make a notebook from rejected paper turned into a slow-brewing passion project. One that caught the eyes of classmates, then strangers, and eventually… people all over India.

Today, The Paper Dolphin is run by two people — a visual mind (Urusha) and a word nerd (Rohan). Together, we design and craft journals, planners, activity books, and book blind dates that are playful, practical, and proudly planet-friendly.

Our name? A little tribute to spirit animals, generational legacies, and the joy of blending fun with function. (Also, dolphins are cool.)

What We Believe

We believe your messy, brilliant, everyday thoughts deserve better than basic notebooks.
We believe in black ink, recycled cardboard, and unbleached paper — because the Earth shouldn’t pay for your to-do lists.

We believe good design is emotional — clean, flexible, and joyfully useful.
And we believe you shouldn’t have to choose between meaningful and affordable.

What We Make

Notebooks that help you breathe.
Planners that don’t yell productivity.
Gifts that say, “Hey, I thought of you.”
And blind date books that surprise people (in the best way possible).

Every product is built around hobbies, habits, and little rituals that make you you. Writing. Cooking. Reading. Reclaiming your Sunday.

How We Work

We collaborate with vendors who get our obsession with quality — and why it matters.
We obsess over the design, the feel, the finish. We pack each order ourselves (for now).
And we love customers who love us and give us honest, kind feedback.

Where We’re Headed

We’re growing — gently.
Into more cities. Onto more shelves.
Into bookstores, cafés, event spaces. Into gifts that make people smile.

And always, into hearts that love stationery with soul.
